Dixie Noonan

Dixie Noonan, law clerk to the Honorable Morris S. Arnold of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas and received her law degree from the Yale Law School. At Yale, she served as the Executive Editor and an Articles Editor of the Yale Journal of International Law. Her research, writing and course work concentrated on the areas of legal history, constitutional law, business and white collar criminal law and appellate advocacy. She was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, a New York law firm, for three years before starting her clerkship with Judge Arnold. While at S&C, Dixie represented a range of businesses, financial institutions and individuals in litigation and transactional matters. She also worked pro bono on a death penalty case before the Alabama Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. During the Spring 2007 semester, she will teach a course on Judicial Biography at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.
