Michael A. Olivas is a recognized expert in the fields of immigration law and policy and education law. He is the only person to hold membership in both the American Law Institute and the National Academy of Education, and he has twice served as chair of the American Association of Law Schools Immigration Law Section. He will deliver a public lecture entitled "Immigration - Related State and Local Ordinances: Pigtail Ordinances and the Proper Role for Enforcement."
