The William Mogel Internship Program, founded in 2004, is jointly sponsored by the Foundation of the Energy Law Journal and the National Energy-Environment Law and Policy Institute (NELPI) in The University of Tulsa College of Law. Named in honor of William H. Mogel, founding and long-time ELJ Editor-in-Chief, this program provides deserving ELJ student editors with valuable energy-related government internship opportunities. It has become a popular program, a vehicle by which the Foundation of the ELJ supports the student Energy Law Journal and seeks to encourage top TU law students to participate on the journal staff.
The application process for the William Mogel Internship Program is initiated by the student ELJ staff in the fall. ELJ staff finalists are selected, and their applications are forwarded to the Senate Committee Internship Coordinator for the final selection process. For more information, contact
