As part of the MLIC's Fall Fiesta of Electronic Products, this week we are featuring the Bureau of National Affairs online Newsletters and the BNA Labor Law and Employment Law Library. U.S. Law Week
U.S. Law Week has been one of the most popularly distributed print publications in any law library for years. It covers the U.S. Supreme Court as well as highlights from the federal circuits. This online product mirrors the print version, as well as giving access to every issue of U.S. Law Week back to June of 1997. You can also read the full text of every Supreme Court decision during the same period, sorted by date, subject or party name. Supreme Court Today, a recent addition to the product (linked from their front page) is updated daily while the Supreme Court is in session, and allows docket and calendar searching, cert. granted and denied, and the full Journal of Proceedings.
Antitrust and Trade Regulation Report
BNA's Antitrust & Trade Regulation Report is updated weekly and contains highlights and cases dealing with competition and deceptive trade practice law enforcement developments on the federal, state, and international levels. The archives go back to 2/96.
Criminal Law Reporter
BNA's Criminal Law Reporter is a weekly updated newsletter which contains highlights and cases dealing with all aspects of criminal law, divided into 35 major topics . Also includes a section titled, "Circuit Split Roundup" (especially helpful to law review students searching for a topic for their paper). The archives go back to 7/96.
Family Law Reporter
BNA's Family Law Reporter contains highlights and cases back to 8/96 on a wide variety of family law issues in federal and state contexts, including a detailed family law tax guide.
Securities Regulation and Law Report
Securities Regulation and Law Report alerts you to developments in case law, statutes and regulations on securities, futures trading, the Securities and Exchange Comission, and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission. Updated weekly, their issue archive goes to 2/96.
BNA Labor and Employment Law Library
BNA's Labor and Employment Law Library archives news, case law, statutes and regulations relating to federal and state issues in labor law. These are subdivided into sections on collective bargaining, disability law, fair employment practices, individual employment rights law, labor arbitration and relations, and wage/hours decisions. A huge collection of resources with serveral finding aids make this product extremely useful for anyone having to research labor law issues.
