TECHNICAL SERVICES/COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT/ACQUISITIONS

The Collection Development Librarian and staff are responsible for selecting and ordering materials for the MLIC. They can provide information on publishers and books on order, and will welcome recommendations for new purchases. Recommendation forms are also available from the Reference Desk. Recent acquisitions can be viewed at our recent acquisitions list. Though the Collection Development Librarian has the overall responsibility for collection development, the responsibility for collection development in specialized subject areas is shared by other members of the professional staff as follows: Louise Lindsey, Environmental Energy Law; David Gay, International & Comparative/Foreign Law, Health Law; Dan Bell, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Technology & the Law; Melanie Nelson, Tax, & Public Policy, Regulation and Lawyering Skills; and Faye Hadley, Native Peoples. The librarians and staff in Technical Services are responsible for receiving and processing materials and for maintaining the OPAC and other records which show what the MLIC owns. Materials on order but not yet received, have an entry on the OPAC
