Louise (Lou) Lindsey has been the Associate Director of the Mabee Legal Information Center since 1995. Before coming to TU, she was the Associate Director at the University of Connecticut School of Law Library (1992-1995) and Librarian at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville (1981-1992), including a year as Interim Director. After receiving her law degree from the Univerisity of North Dakota in 1977, she was admitted to the North Dakota and Minnesota bars, and she served as the Director of Central Legal Research at the University of North Dakota School of Law from 1977-80. In this post, she supervised a team of law students performing research for judges, court-appointed attorneys and prosecutors throughout the state. She also has worked as a school librarian in Charlottesville VA and an elementary school teacher in Arvada CO and in Lincoln and Syracuse NE. As well as her law degree, Lou holds a Specialist in Library and Information Science (1981) from Indiana University, a Masters in Library Science (1971) from the University of Washington, and a Bachelors degree (1968) from Earlham College.

Lou has held two professional offices: Vice President/President Elect & Program Chair, Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (1989-90); and President, Southwestern Association of Law Libraries (1990-1991). She was the recipient of the 2001 Velda Staves Award from the Tulsa County Bar Association.
