Native American Resources/Reference Law Librarian (631-2457) MLIC 2110
Faye Hadley is the Native American Resources and Instructional Services Law Librarian and is the author of two pathfinders - one on Bar Exam Resources and the other on Native American Resources on the Internet.
Faye grew up in Indiana and attended Indiana University for her undergraduate degree (B.A., English, 1982) and returned to Indiana University several years later for her J.D. (1996) and M.L.S. (1997). Between those years she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Monteverde, Costa Rica. While in Albuquerque, she earned a Masters Degree in English Language and Rhetoric from the University of New Mexico. Since finishing law school and library school she has worked for a large law firm (Stoel Rives LLP) in Portland, Oregon, and at the University of New Mexico for two years before coming to Tulsa in May, 2001. Her interest in Native American Law goes back many years. At the University of New Mexico she worked on the Tribal Law Journal (an exclusively online journal devoted to customary law of Indigenous Peoples). She misses the high blue skies of New Mexico and the monthly Navajo Rug auctions in Crownpoint, but otherwise she says she "is very happy to be here in Oklahoma working at this beautiful facility with such wonderful co-workers."
