Summer Institute in European and International Law
Dublin Program Policies
Academic Credit
The University of Tulsa College of Law Dublin curriculum and course credits are set forth on the Curriculum page. All requirements for student performance will be no less rigorous than courses at the students' home schools. Students are expected to attend classes on a regular basis and to be well prepared for each class. To receive academic credit, students must satisfy the requirements imposed by course instructors concerning class participation, readings, class attendance, written assignments or papers and/or final examinations. Students will be assigned grades by the individual instructors in each class. Acceptance and interpretation of any academic credit or grade for courses taken in the program is subject to determination by the student's home institution.
Grading Policy
All classes will be graded on a letter basis, in accordance with the University of Tulsa grading system. This system uses the following grades: A, A-, B+, B, B-,C+,C,C-, D+, D and F. Assessment for purposes of assigning grades may include in-class or take-home examinations or papers or a combination of methods. Each faculty member will announce his or her grading method on the first day of class.
Acceleration
Students should be aware that it is unlikely that participation in a summer program may be used to result in an acceleration of their graduation date. Students interested in acceleration should consult their home school and the relevant rules of the American Bar Association, including Standard 304, Interpretation 304-4.
Transfer credit
Acceptance of transfer credit is subject to determination by the student's home school. Students should check carefully with their home schools for rules regarding the transfer of credit. Satisfaction of law school residency requirements must be confirmed with the student's home institution.
