Tulsa: The University and The City
A law school's location should be diverse enough to offer good study-break diversions both on and off campus. Tulsa does.
When asked to describe Tulsa, one student provided a single-word summation - "sanity." Tulsa's high quality of life is also said to be "sophisticated," "affordable, clean and safe."
Metropolitan Tulsa has a population of 500,000 people, but you never feel the crush of a crowded city. More than 50 major corporations are headquartered in Tulsa, generating a vibrant economy. Yet quiet, bungalow-lined streets exist just a few blocks from the heart of the city. (TU's campus lies 3-1/2 miles from downtown Tulsa.)
Located equidistant between Kansas City and Dallas, Tulsa is a place where people wave and say "Good morning" as they pass you on the bicycle trail or greet you by name on campus. The city enjoys four distinct seasons that are mild. Snow falls occasionally, but warm, sunny weather is the norm.
Whether you enjoy rock climbing, water skiing, jogging, or shopping, you'll find Tulsa the perfect city in which to take a study break.
