Part-Time Program
To finance their legal education, or to support themselves and their families, some students work full time (or more than the maximum hours full-time students are permitted to work). To offer these students a legal education, the TU College of Law has a part-time program that permits students up to five years to complete the Juris Doctor requirements. The requirements for graduation are the same as the full-time program.
Part-time students must enroll in 6 to 11 hours of academic credit per semester. As do full-time students, part-time students must take certain required courses within the first few years of their academic program. Each student’s particular course of study, however, must be approved by the associate dean for student affairs. That approval will involve consultation between the student and the associate dean in an attempt to find the most workable and pedagogically sound schedule for the student.
